Refrigeration Air Dryer- Introduction & Application

Ideal for general purpose, refrigeration dryers help to eliminate moisture by reducing the air temperature. Air dryer is the device which consists of a heat transfer system, moisture purging system & refrigeration system.

The DRY series refrigeration dryers are compact & have an easy installation service. These air dryers offer drying capacity of 12 to 740 CFM of air and is supplied complete with separator and automatic condensate discharge. Refrigeration dryers are only contrived to remove water vapor and entail the use of coalescing filters to work competently.

Refrigeration air dryers are judged by there effective performance to separate condensate. Before buying air dryers, the major survey will give an idea of required air supply & desired pressure dew point for particular operation. A different combination of flow rate, pressure, dew point control & connection are also available for diverse application.

These dryers help to cool the compressed air, whereby a large amount is condensed & separated. To avoid condensation on the outside of the system, the compressed air is reheated to room temperature. The coolant system helps cooling the compressed air which thereby helps reducing the energy consumption of the refrigeration dryer.

New digital electronic system helps to control the main dryer operation parameters. Customized dryers for higher capacity are also made on request. Four different types of refrigeration dryers are:-

Cycling Refrigerated Air Dryers

High Inlet Temperature

Non-cycling Refrigerated Dryer

Desiccant Dryers

Werther has come up with 17 different combination's of refrigeration dryers for different application. They are known for there efficient performance with easy installation services & uses. Browse through our Refrigeration Air Dryer section and choose the one which suits your requirement.

Compressed Air Solution: Some General Information

Our nations industry have opted for using better & improved equipments to give better results & eliminate energy wastage.

Compressed Air Solution is there best choice for energy source. These energy sources are relatively easy to store, non-flammable & highly powerful. This energy can be used to produce high speed with air actuators or air tools & is enormously versatile in various ways it is used. Compressed air is used everywhere. As these compressed air are safe, it can be carried anywhere with an appropriate air tools.

Compressed Air can perform there work with high speed because when compressed the air gets transform from one energy to other form of energy. This energy is stored & used later. This compressed air is now in imbalanced state & is in high pressure inside compressor receivers.

As our environment has always kept our nature in balance, these imbalances are not accepted by her. So to balance the nature, the compressed air leaves the area with speed of sound, i.e. from an air tank to the required tool, & gets back to its normal atmospheric temperature.

By calculating this flow of air & directing it into air tools, work can be pull out from this compressed air energy as it decompresses back to atmospheric levels.

Compressed air solution can be used around application which involves manufacturing products which are flammable or explosive. Compressed air solutions are always performed by the persons with formal training.

If you are looking for a high force for your application, then the likely pick should be compressed air components as they are less expensive.

Less expensive & more energy is always why not?, for high scale operation.

Brief Introduction to Compressors

Compressors are a perfunctory device that compresses or increases the pressure on gas or air. As air is compressible, the applied pressure helps to reduce the volume of existing air. Liquids are comparatively incompressible, so the main act of a pump is to pressurize and transfer the fluid through a channel.

Temperature always tends to rise if compression ratio is increased. Considering this fact, compressions are designed to perform on per stage basis and concurrently cooling the gas.

There are different types of Compressor ranging from the simple hand pump and the piston-equipped compressor. Each compressor achieve different compression ratio & varies in horsepower. Some compressors require oil to operate and some do not. Different types of compressors are Centrifugal compressors, mixed-flow compressors, Axial-flow compressors, Reciprocating compressors, Rotary screw compressors, Rotary vane compressors, Scroll compressors, Diaphragm compressors, etc.

Centrifugal Compressors are used for continuous & stationary services in industries such as oil refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants and natural gas processing plants. Their application can be from 100 horsepower to thousands of horsepower. Centrifugal compressors are used in small gas turbine engines or as the final compression stage of medium sized gas turbines.

Mixed-flow compressors are correlated to centrifugal compressors, but have a radial and axial velocity factor at the outlet from the rotor.

Rotary Screw Compressor is a type of gas compressor that uses two meshed rotating positive-displacement helical screws to force the gas into a smaller space. These are usually used for continuous operation in commercial and industrial applications and may be either stationary or portable. Their application can be from 3 horsepower (2.2 kW) to over 1,200 horsepower (890 kW).

Reciprocating compressors are piston driven & can be stationary or portable. It can be driven with motors or internal combustion engines & reciprocates from 30 horsepower to 1000 hp.

Axial-flow compressors are a dynamic rotating compressor that uses arrays of fan-like aerofoils to gradually compress the working fluid & are used where there is a requirement for a high flow rate or a compact design.

Rotary vane compressors are the oldest of compressor technologies & are well suited to electric motor drive. They are significantly quieter in operation than the equivalent piston compressor.

A scroll compressor, also known as scroll pump and scroll vacuum pump, uses two interleaved spiral-like vanes to pump or compress fluids such as liquids and gases. The vane geometry may be involutes, Archimedean spiral, or hybrid curves. They operate more smoothly, quietly, and reliably than other types of compressors in the lower volume range.

A diaphragm compressor is known as membrane compressor and is a variant of the conventional reciprocating compressor. They are used for hydrogen and compressed natural gas (CNG) as well as in a number of other applications.

Compressors are also used in fields such as SCUBA diving, medicine manufacturing, turbochargers, submarines, air conditioning, jet engines & refrigeration.
